A state title means you have bragging rights over all other teams from Erie to Philly and everywhere in between. Or it means you’re the best team on your street!
Hershey and Lower Dauphin are separated by only about 4 miles, but they squared off in the state final.
It was the 4th meeting of the year for these two with Lower Dauphin leading the season series 2 games to 1.
Midway through the first half, Lower Dauphin plays it in. Lauren Alwine from the outside and it’s deflected beautifully by Christy Starsinic. Lower Dauphin 1, Hershey 0
That would be it for scoring and Lower Dauphin goes on to win both the state gold and Linda Kreiser’s 600th win.
This was the first state title for the Falcons since 2006, when the seniors were freshman!
