The Susquehanna Valley has a rich history when it comes to state soccer finals. It seems that every year a girls or boys teams from the area is sent to the title game, and that holds true again this season.

The Central Dauphin boy’s soccer team will make its first appearance in the championship game, where they will square off with Father Judge.

The Rams punched its ticket with a dramatic penalty kick shootout win in the semifinals. Now they’ll play for the gold, which is not all that rare when it comes to Central Dauphin sports. As for the players, they say they’ve already gotten this far so why not come home with the gold?

Rams goalie Jon Lutz already has a state gold medal: he led the Rams’ volleyball team to a title last spring.

Central Dauphin will face Father Judge Saturday, November 21st at Hersheypark Stadium.
