It’s that time of year again! Local athlete signed on for their collegiate careers on Early Signing Day.
Lebanon Catholic: One of the top high school hoopsters in the area has chosen her college. Lebanon Catholic standout Hailey Carangelo signed her letter of intent with Saint Francis College.
The 5-8 senior led the Beavers to the district title in 2008 and averaged 17-points per game. Hailey will join former Susquehanna Valley basketball stars Kelsey Caruthers (Penn Manor), Allison Smith (Cedar Crest) and Allison Daley (Trinity) when she joins the team next year. Central Dauphin: The Rams have a host of stars committing on paper.
Basketball standout Alyssa Thomas will head to Maryland, while teammate Caitlyn Basset is headed to New England to play for Bryant University.
One of the top wrestlers in the area, Marshall Peppleman, will hit the mat for Cornell in the Ivy League.
Jon Lutz sported a signing day Mohawk as he signed his National Letter of Intent with George Mason, where he will play volleyball.
Hempfield: Gymnast Amanda Carpenter was surrounded by her Prestige Gymnastics teammates as she signed her letter of intent to go to West Virginia University. Amanda has made it to the Junior Olympic Nationals the past 3-years.
Lower Dauphin: Chante Markus is headed to Carson-Newman College for softball, and teammate Lauren Alcorn is headed to the University of Albany for softball.
