Current NFL player Danny Lansanah returned to his roots over the weekend. The former Harrisburg High star held a free football camp for area kids.

Danny was happy for the chance to give something back to his hometown.

“Growing up we didn’t have this sort of thing,” said Danny. “It’s good to come back and give to the kids, telling them to stay positive and they can make it out of here even they have hard times growing up.”

While at Harrisburg, Danny was a 3-year letter winner, named first-team Mid-Penn all-conference, and participated in the East/West All-Star Game.

He continued his football career at the University of Connecticut, finishing his NCAA career with 323 tackles and 10 interceptions.

Danny is about to begin his second season as a Green Bay Packers linebacker and is getting ready to head to training camp.
