NFL dreams came true and a few local grads couldn't be happier. Both LeSean McCoy and William Beatty were chosen in the 2nd round of the NFL Draft, while Jamie Thomas was chosen in the 7th.

McCoy, a Bishop McDevitt grad and University of Pitt star spent the night of the Draft at the Sheraton in Harrisburg. Surrounded by friends, family, and super-agent Drew Rosenhaus, McCoy was drafted in the second round by the PHILADELPHIA EAGLES…his favorite team!

Thomas, also a Bishop McDevitt grad, got the call as well. The OL out of Maryland was drafted in the 7th round by the INDIANAPOLIS COLTS.

Beatty, a York grad was also drafted high. The NEW YORK GIANTS made the massive Connecticut tackled their second round picked. Beatty was a 3-year started at UConn and is seen as a fairly raw prospect. The Giants led the NFL in rushing last season.

Hershey native Brock Smith, QB from Liberty University, did not get drafted. He hopes to find a free agent deal.
